Beautiful Golden (Blue Flag) Beaches

The Costa Blanca is well known for is long golden beaches. Many have been awarded the European Blue Flag, which represents safety and cleanliness. The local beaches, during the season, tend to be fully staffed with both life guards and first aiders. Most have food and drink facilities, typically tapas. Within the Villa can be found everything one might need for the beach, including picnic freezer box, rug, mats, beach umbrella, spades & buckets and beach games.

The nearest Beach to the Villa is La Zenia beach, less than 5 minutes drive away. La Zenia beach offers an excellent and reasonable priced restaurant, in the summer the beach is fully staffed with lifeguards. This is a blue flag beach which has lovely golden sand and is exceptionally clean.

All along the south costa blanca you will find a variety of different beaches, such as El Capitan as shown in the Photo (both Beach photos taken in January). You will find secluded beaches with very few people on them through to larger beaches such as Campomar, but never over crowded.

Many of the beaches/seaside locations offer excellent coastal walks and promanades - after all this is the Spanish national pastime.

Some beaches are beutifully remote, such as Carablanche, which forms part of the spanish national park and nature reserve - details found in Spanish guides provided in the villa.
